Eye does Priestley proud - it's the sort of place he"d have loved to see his plays. Fiona Staniland finds Sally"s every nuance of anxiety and hopefulness ReviewsGate

Fiona plays Sally Pratt in this calssic Priestley thriller set on Grindle Moor, North Yorkshire in 1937. Sally Pratt is a widow who lives with her father Sam, landlord of the Black Bull Inn. An unhappily married couple - heavy drinking Walter Ormund and his young wife Janet arrive at the Inn where headmaster Oliver Farrant is on retreat. Then a mysterious German visitor Dr Gortler arrives and warns them sll of a potential tragedy. One of Priestley"s classic "time" plays, in which he explores the idea of precognition, inter-dependency even amonst strangers strangers and pits fate against free will.

The strong cast includes Graham Bill as Sam (Albert Nobbs, Hull Truck, Midsomer Murders, Kavangah QC), Philip Stevens as Farrant (title roles in Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, Chapter House Theatre Company), Richard Grofton as Dr Gortler (Saul at Southwark Playhouse, A Study In Scarlet, Radio 4), William Halliday as Walter Ormund (Breaking Point, Pret a Porter, Macbeth) and Joanna Dunn as Janet Ormund (Scum & Civility at the Royal Court East Enders and Casualty).
